Open Disclosure

  • New policy states more clearly the practice's responsibilities and references legislation.
  • New process for managing an open disclosure provides step-by-step instructions to follow, with additional guidance for each step in drop-down boxes.
  • Terminology and concepts are introduced from the new National Adverse Events Policy 2023, which must be adopted by July 2024. Initial changes include:
