Extreme Weather
In an emergency dial 111
- Keep calm.
- Assist anyone in immediate danger.
- Evacuate if necessary.
- Follow instructions from wardens or emergency services.

In a flood
- Evacuate to higher ground if required.
- Avoid contact with flood water as it may be contaminated.
- Turn off water, electricity, gas, and other services that could become a hazard if left on.
- Move clinical records, chemicals, and electrical equipment onto higher surfaces, if safe to do so.

In high winds
- Close windows, external and internal doors.
- Pull curtains and blinds over unprotected glass.
- Move people and equipment away from external doors and windows if the wind becomes destructive.
- Be aware of the risk of debris outside.
