If the practice is in the path of potential ash fall or any other volcanic activity, follow instructions from local authorities and evacuate if advised to.
During an eruption or ash fall:
- stay inside, close all doors and windows, and shut off air conditioning units
- mask your face to protect against inhaling volcanic dust and gas fallout
- place damp towels at entrances to prevent ash coming inside the practice
- monitor the amount of ash on roofs – evacuate if the building shows signs of sagging.
