reading and responding to regular GPDocs advisories.
The key contact is usually a person involved with policy implementation, who knows what is happening "on the ground". It's often the practice manager, or someone in a similar role.
Onboarding a new key contact
Follow steps 1 to 4:
Make sure the GPDocs team know about the change.
Email support@gpdocs.co.nz or phone 0800 473 627. We'll send the new key contact a welcome email with more information.
Familiarise yourself with the information on these pages:
This video explains what the key contact role is and what you need to do.
Check and update out-of-date information
We recommend checking key policies for out-of-date information. If you've had staffing changes, it's likely that you'll need to update some details in GPDocs.
There are two ways to do this:
Enter the names of previous team members into Search. This will bring up a list of policies and documents where those people are still mentioned.
Follow the instructions on the Out-of-Date Information page. This is a good starting point to update details that are obviously out of date, e.g. names, roles, or practice documents.
Text outside the yellow highlighting (as shown on the model site) is there for compliance, legislation, or best practice. The text is not normally changed.
Core content is continually reviewed and kept up to date.
Customised
Core content on this page has been changed on request by the practice.
Customised topics must be reviewed and updated by the practice because they are not automatically updated by GPDocs.
GPDocs was originally created by Streamliners, the Christchurch-based company who produce HealthPathways for New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom. In 2024 GPDocs become a standalone company in conjunction with SchoolDocs, who provide a similar policy platform to over 85% of New Zealand schools.
