Suspicious Mail

If you receive suspicious mail

• Gently put the mail down on a dry, level, and unconfined surface.
• Do not:
  • disturb or open the item
  • clean up spilled liquids or powder
  • touch package contents.
• Move everyone away from the mail and isolate the area.
• Turn off any equipment that could spread air flow to other parts of the practice such as air conditioning.
• Remove any clothing that came into contact with the package.
• Wash any part of the body that came into contact, using soap and hot water.
• Isolate anyone who may be contaminated.

Contact emergency services and evacuate the practice. Do not activate the alarm unless instructed by police.
