Achieving Equity
|
- You can now provide your own policy statement if you prefer. This enables whānau-led providers to make a personalised statement.
- You can list any significant groups within your practice population to make the policy more personal. E.g. give percentages for a few key groups.
- Cornerstone practices now have a new section called Collaboration with Health Partners where they can name the key Māori health partners they work with.

Māori Health
|
- Policy amended to make it more personalised and increase its mana and connection.
- You can now add a whakataukī or practice values. We won't show one unless you ask.
- Language made more action orientated.
- Sentence added to give your iwi/hapu and establish the tangata whenua of your region.
- Percentage of Māori patients added.
- Sentence added to name the key Māori health partners you work with, e.g. your iwi or local marae.

Cultural Safety
|
- You can now provide your own policy statement if you prefer. This enables whānau-led providers to make a personalised statement.
- Language changed to include "physically and emotionally safe" and present the concept of cultural safety as something the practice environment is or isn't.
- New heading "Determining cultural safety" and definition of how this is measured added.

Bullying, Discrimination, and Harassment
|
- Section on Protected disclosures updated to reflect new legislation that came into effect on 1 July 2022. A link added under Resources, to the Public Service Commission guidance document. Wording adjusted to reflect that employees can make a disclosure to the appointed person at the practice, or an appropriate authority. Other changes are listed in the guidance document.

Interpreter Services
|
- Interpreting services previously supplied by Ezispeak are now being provided by Connecting Now. Practices can access the service by phoning 0800 854 737, or by emailing support@connectingnow.com.au. There should be no change to the services provided, and access PIN codes will remain the same.
