Day Surgery Facilities

This page is part of our optional Day Surgery module.

Policy

In addition to our standard Practice Facility Requirements, our surgical procedure areas meet the requirements of NZS 8165: 2005 – 6.1. We also promote a safe practice environment and meet the requirements of NZS 8165: 2005 – 6.2.

We have a procedure room specifically designed with the right equipment to undertake day surgery. The room is only used for surgical procedures and is cleaned according to our infection control policy.

We have contingency plans in place in the event that any equipment and/or supplies fail or are unavailable.
