Policy
We store medicines securely in accordance with the Medicines Act 1981.
We maintain a stock of medicines that is suitable for the needs of our practice, including all of the essential medicines required by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practice.
Medicines are stored securely so they can't be accessed by unauthorised people:
Medicines are not stored or prepared in areas where food and drinks are consumed.
For controlled drug storage and checking, see Controlled Drug Stock.

Reordering medicines
To order medicines, the nurses complete an MPSO form. This is approved by a doctor before sending to the pharmacy.
