Prepare for Assessment

GPDocs policies align with RNZCGP standards for general practice, New Zealand legislation, and best practice. Policies have been successfully used for hundreds of assessments, so you can be confident that our core policy text is compliant.

Using GPDocs saves a lot of time and effort when assessment is coming up:

Check and update the policies needed for assessment

See Foundation Mapping and Equity Mapping.

Check and update the relevant policies. If your practice-specific information may have become out of date if you haven't checked it for a while.

Go through the Foundation Mapping or Equity Mapping section policy by policy, and make sure everything is still correct:

Tip: Use the highlighting button to show where your practice-specific information sits, making it easier to check.

Focus on checking the policies that are listed in the mapping sections, as well as any documents attached to these policies.

If something has changed, click the Feedback button on the policy to request a change, or send an updated document.

Get the policies added to Smartsheet

With GPDocs, your policies can be added into Smartsheet for you.

We upload your live policy into Smartsheet – each link takes the assessor to your website and allows them to access the policy without logging in. This means you can continue to update policies after the policies are added.

To get policies added to Smartsheet:

  1. In Smartsheet (have the indicator page open), click the blue Share button at top right.
  2. Share with support@gpdocs.co.nz. Make sure you give Editor – can share permission.
  3. Email the GPDocs team to ask for the policy links to be uploaded.

Note: You'll still need to upload your evidence, e.g. photos, audits, meeting notes, training certificates etc, and write a commentary in the self-audit field.
