Pandemic Response

Practices need to provide a Pandemic Plan. This can either be a standalone document, or part of the Business Continuity Plan.

Practices who include pandemic planning in the Business Continuity Plan will receive an alternative version of this page.

Policy

In a pandemic, the Manatū Hauora | Ministry of Health coordinates the national response. We work with Te Whatu Ora | Health NZ and Pegasus Health to respond at a local level.

We have developed a pandemic response plan, as required in:

The plan outlines the key elements of our response to an outbreak. We also follow operational or clinical guidelines from Te Whatu Ora and Pegasus Health.
